We’re looking for a conscientious and dependable Sales Associate to join our fast-paced, high-energy team. Children’s Orchard Amesbury buys and sells gently used children’s clothing, toys, and equipment — offering families high-quality items at affordable prices while promoting a sustainable lifestyle.
This role requires stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding our high standards for quality and customer experience. Every team member plays a key role in keeping our store organized, welcoming, and aligned with our core values of integrity, community, and sustainability.
It also requires strong technology proficiency — our team regularly uses a computer-based POS system, Google Drive, Google Sheets, and iPad-based apps such as Instagram, Facebook Business Suite and Photoroom.
Primary Duties include:
· Greet and assist customers with their shopping needs, answer questions, and provide product recommendations.
· Operate the computer based Point of Sale to process sales, returns, and check in/out customer buys
· Tag, hang, organize, and display merchandise according to store guidelines to ensure a visually appealing sales floor.
· Assist in posting products and responding to messages on Instagram and all customer digital messaging platforms.
Sample Schedule (can vary):
- Mon, Thurs & Fri: 9:30 AM–2:30 PM
- Wed: 12:45–5:45 PM
- Plus 2–3 weekend days per month
- Flexibility required to cover vacations, illnesses, or special events
Physical Requirements:
This role involves being on your feet for extended periods, performing tasks that require lifting and carrying merchandise, and engaging with customers throughout the day in a busy retail environment.
